Wow, I am so impressed with the learning going on in room seven. All the children are well on their way to achieving their learning goals in reading, writing and maths. As we are learning "All About Me" this term, I would like to send home a template of a Maori Pepeha. You can use your own pepeha, or use our school one. If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
Wow, where has the year gone? We are already into our third week of school, and our children are well into their learning. If you have not received a hard copy of our class newsletter, please refer to our home page to get updated on this term's happenings. For now, I will leave you with this Maori proverb.
Welcome back, everybody! I hope everyone had a good break and ready to continue their learning. I have posted our class newsletter on the home page, if you would like to look at, otherwise, you will receive a copy during the week. Help your child to a wonderful start, with a good healthy lunch to cope with the cold winter weather. Here's a test - if you want to see how your child is affected by what they eat, try eating what you give them for their lunch! This will give you a good idea of what will keep them sustained for their body and their brain!
See you all on Monday! Whaea Tweenie The children had fun making their manutukutuku. They were able to first paint, then glue on their feathers and other decorative items. Ka pai, tamariki!
Room 7 enjoyed our Science week, where we learnt all about 'Forces' and what they were. Here are a few pics of our learning. Here we are ready to go over for our special Anzac ceremony. We made a small fern arangement to give as a memorial gift for those men and women who fought for the freedom of our country. "We will remember them".
I hope everyone has had an awesome holiday, re-energised and ready to learn! This week our theme will be all about our past, ANZAC; and we will learn the meaning of 'Lest we forget'. If you have some time, pop into our school office to see our Junior team ANZAC display. Right, better go...school tomorrow!
